whO aRE we?

How it all started

It started with a calling and a vision leading us to launch a brand new church. The Valley Church, led by small groups of people that desired to help penetrate the lostness in our city, gathered for our first service on September 20, 2015 at Evendale Elementary School.

Together we studied Scripture, observed the sacraments, and worshiped Jesus all while going forward to reach the lost in our community.

Expanding the vision

In 2018, the Lord graciously provided us our very own church space South Norwood, but our vision and mission has remained the same.

We gather to study Scripture, observe the sacraments, worship Jesus, and continue to reach out into our lost community with the Gospel. Our small groups continue to reproduce new small groups, our pastoral team ordained and installed new pastors, families continue to be added to our membership, and redeemed souls continue to follow the Lord in baptism.

Where we are headed

In 2024, after searching and praying with much anticipation, the Lord allowed us the opportunity to move into a new meeting space in the Deer Park community, providing us more space for our growing congregation to worship and more ways to minister to our surrounding community. We look forward to the future as the Lord continues to expand His Kingdom one soul at a time.

Our approach is simple: Know Jesus and make Him known. We believe the Lord will be exalted and glorified in our worship as long as He remains the focus of our worship.
